MoonPhase is designed to provide astronomical information without collecting, selling, or tracking personal data.
If you grant permission, the app accesses your device’s approximate location (latitude and longitude).
Location coordinates are used solely to retrieve moonrise and moonset times.
To retrieve this data, latitude and longitude are transmitted to the United States Naval Observatory (USNO) API. The API returns astronomical data specific to your location.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or analytics providers. Location coordinates are transmitted only to the USNO API for the purpose of retrieving astronomical data.
The app does not store personal data on external servers. Any retrieved data is stored locally on your device.
MoonPhase uses the United States Naval Observatory (USNO) API and NASA imagery services for astronomical data and imagery.
You may deny or revoke location permission at any time through your device’s settings. Deleting the app removes any locally stored data.
