How The Clock Works

Pherkad is the star in the Little Dipper's bowl opposite the handle. Imagine a line from Polaris through Pherkad to the numbered positions on today's ring.

Location

The app uses your device time zone to orient the ring. It does not request location permission.

Widgets

iOS updates widgets on its own schedule, so the widget is best for checking the current ring rather than watching second-by-second motion.
